TMi/Daikin Timeline
Thermal Mechanics Inc. was founded in 1966 as a representative of McQuay HVAC Equipment by Warren Rich.
Daikin acquired McQuay and TMi’s relationship with Daikin began.
Dave Rich and Kevin Krimmel took over ownership of TMi & expanded into Western Missouri and Kansas.
TMi entered into an agreement with Taycon Building Technologies to form Taycon-TMi as the controls and automation lef of the company.
TMi launched the Aftermarket Solutions Group by acquiring Masters Equipment to support our existing installed base of equipment, focusing on the repair and replacement segment, to expand our abilities and improve the product life cycle, focusing on mechanical contractors and owners.
TMi branched to handle Daikin’s residential line, serving as the distributor for HVAC dealers in Kansas, Missouri, and downstate Illinois. During this transition, TMi also branched out to offer parts & HVAC equipment from other brand names. TMi also ranked #43 of the TOP 50 Fastest Growing Companies in St.Louis in 2018!
After nurturing a thriving, growth-oriented collaboration for 13 years, Daikin and TMi joined forces through a dynamic partnership with Daikin, creating Daikin-TMi.
Daikin-TMi acquired Heaven Engineering, which was a Daikin-Applied representative in Wichita, KS.
