About Daikin TMI

Brusco-Rich was founded in as a representative of McQuay HVAC Equipment.  This grew to become an HVAC equipment supplier as well as industrial pumping, service and parts. Thermal Mechanics, Inc. (TMI) was incorporated in 1984 focusing solely on HVAC equipment. Over time, the company evolved from a traditional manufacturer’s rep to a hands-on firm offering design and engineering assistance services, focusing on these value-added solutions.

Daikin acquired McQuay, and TMI’s relationship with Daikin began. In 2012, the company expanded into Western Missouri and Kansas. TMI would expand further in 2018 to handle Daikin’s residential line, serving as the distributor for HVAC dealers in Kansas, Missouri, and downstate Illinois.

TMI acquired Taycon Building Technologies to expand our control offerings to include KMC and Honeywell Controls.

TMI started our residential distribution business to enable us to cover all aspects of the HVAC market (residential, commercial and industrial).
Daikin-TMI also branched out to offer parts, HVAC equipment, and parts from other manufacturers for over 35 other brand names. Combine this with our unparalleled expertise and first-rate service, and there isn’t a better partner for your business.

After 13 years of a successful, growth-based relationship, Daikin formally acquired TMI, and Daikin-TMI was born.

Daikin-TMI acquired Heaven Engineering, which was a Daikin-Applied representative in Wichita, KS.
In Spring 2024, we’ll open our third state-of-the-art training center in Wichita.
